How many people can go on a trip?
6 passengers is the maximum allowed by the U.S. Coast Guard.
What do I need to bring?
You should bring food and drinks, sunglasses, sunscreen and comfortable clothing. Don’t forget a camera, and bring coolers to take your catch home. All bait, tackle and ice is provided.
Do I need a fishing license?
No, Tail Chaser has a blanket fishing license as well as all state/federal licenses and permits.
Is fish cleaning available?
Yes, fish cleaning is provided by the mate for an additional charge.
What is the average tip for the mate?
Tips of 15 to 20% of the charter rate are appreciated. The mate works for tips and fish cleaning
Is there a fuel surcharge or any other fees?
There is not a fuel surcharge, or any other hidden fees.
What payments are accepted?
We accept cash, all major credit cards, Venmo, and PayPal. A 3.5% Convenience fee will be added for credit card purchases.
What if I need to cancel?
To reserve your trip, you will be asked to provide your credit card information. A $200 deposit is required. Your card will not be charged if you cancel with 7 days, reschedule, or the trip is canceled by the captain due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
